YMCA DownsLink Group provides services to vulnerable children, young people & adults across Sussex and into Surrey, our offer includes supported accommodation, counselling in schools and community settings, advice work and specialist youth projects aimed at crime prevention, criminal and sexual exploitation

This part time position will share the responsibilities of the role with another lead to support our staff to manage the growing complexity of our service users, to better support the management of safeguarding activity and multi-agency interventions around earliest help and management of risk.

This post will drive forward YMCA DLG’s safeguarding action plan and work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure best practice in terms of training, policy and processes

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is a clear communicator, with excellent decision-making skills and a ability to navigate children & adult safeguarding legislation to achieve the best outcomes.

Diploma in Social Work or significant demonstrable experience in safeguarding. YMCA DLG will provide professional supervision to HCPC registered post holders or reflective practice supervision to non-registered staff.
