Community action through collaboration

Make a difference to young people locally

Our ambition is clear. We exist to transform the lives of vulnerable, young people across the South-East who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We provide them with a home, and all the support they need to belong and thrive. But we cannot do this alone. Partnering with us means your business will be visibly at the heart of driving positive and lasting change for young people in your community. There are so many ways to get involved too!

Allow us to become your chosen charity and we will ensure you get the very best from the relationship.

Each Membership of £399 goes towards our Youth Advice Centres in the areas we serve. These services offer essential wellbeing and practical advice that prevent young people from becoming homeless. Our Centres also play a vital role in sign-posting those in crisis to emergency accommodation.

For just £1,000, your company can provide one young person with a safe place to stay for an entire year. More than that, these funds go towards making sure that young person receives the additional guidance and support they need to get back on the path to independence.

A strategic partnership is a great way for staff to participate in something fun while bringing about positive change within the community. Our partnership managers will work closely with you to develop a tailor-made programme of fundraising and volunteering activities which will engage your staff and deliver a successful, mutually beneficial, multi-year partnership.

Cause Related Marketing (CRM) is an increasingly popular way of driving forward the corporate social responsibility agenda while at the same time meeting business objectives. Consumers repeatedly react positively to effective CRM campaigns that have a clear link between cause and product. We can help create innovative campaigns that not only raise awareness and reputation of our respective brands, but also deliver our respective objectives.

Your organisation could support us by providing pro-bono services such as legal advice, marketing and design expertise or facilities for corporate hospitality events. Donated goods from your company can also help boost our income through sales in our network of charity shops or by providing much needed equipment and furniture for our housing schemes.

An annual company fundraising event can help to engage staff while raising funds for our vital work – this can be an internal event such as a social event, office challenge or team-building session. Or you can get involved with some of our Fundraising Events

“Trident Group has been part of the Brighton and Sussex community since 1991 and has long supported local charities and causes. We understand that the young adults of our area represent its future and are keenly aware of the essential role YMCA DLG plays in providing them with accommodation and support and helping them feel valued and secure. "We don’t believe anyone should be homeless and it's even more tragic when that person hasn’t even reached adulthood. Living in Brighton, brewing locally and supporting a local charity was really important to me and we’ve now been able to bring all those things together and I can't think of a better charity to support. The youth of today are tomorrow's entrepreneurs, and we hope that by doing what we do, we can help make a little bit of a difference and allow YMCA DLG to do what they do best in offering support, stability and a roof over the head of those that really need it, at a time in life when they should never have to deal with it."

- Big Hug Brewing
