Mobile Night Worker
37.5 hours per week
Permanent Contract
£19,500 per annum

We are recruiting 2 Mobile Night Workers, one based in Eastbourne and one based in Hastings, to work alongside our wider housing team to provide effective management of our community accommodation projects for vulnerable young people aged 16-24 years.

You will routinely check our unstaffed properties as well as responding to calls to our out of hour’s number. You will help to keep the projects quiet, safe and secure throughout the night. You will need to monitor guests through signing in and out and refusing entry to anyone compromising the safety of the project or residents, and be able to provide an emergency response to young people in crisis.

You will need to be able to maintain accurate records of contact with residents, through recording onto a database, incident reporting forms, and safeguarding reporting

You should have the ability to engage, motivate, inspire and empower young people; and will be required to multitask to ensure the safe running of the project and safeguarding of residents.

You must have experience working with young people, particularly those considered vulnerable or with multiple and complex needs. A substantial part of the role includes lone working and therefore you will need to be competent and confident when working alone, and somebody who is able to de-escalate volatile situations deal with challenging behaviour appropriately.

The role involves working on a 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off rota pattern. Due to the nature of the role you must be a car driver. A vehicle is provided.
