What is Sleep Easy?

Sleep Easy is a challenge event that anyone can take part in. We are looking for individuals or groups to sleep outside for one night, all with the aim of raising money to help us tackle the root causes of youth homelessness.

We can’t promise you a comfortable night but we can promise you an inspiring one that will make a big difference to vulnerable young people locally.

How will my support make a difference?

Half of those who access homelessness services in England are between the ages of 18-24. The reasons for homelessness are complex, from family breakdowns and mental health concerns to job losses or bereavement. Young people can be particularly vulnerable and it is these young people that Sleep Easy supports.

Last year Sleep Easy participants raised an average of £200 each and we are challenging each of our 2020 participants to set a fundraising target at the same level!

Here are just a few examples as to how the money you raise could make a difference:

  • £46 provides 24 hours of support in our accommodation for a young person in crisis
  • £120 pays for a young person to receive eight counselling sessions with a qualified counsellor
  • £500 pays the deposit for a young person to move into privately rented accommodation

Can you help us give young people in crisis the life-long tools to thrive by taking part in Sleep Easy?

How do I take part?
