Thank you to Caroline Stearman and a warm welcome to our new Trustees.
This month we say a heartfelt thank you and warm farewell to Caroline Stearman, who has completed an extraordinary nine years on the Board of Trustees of YMCA DownsLink Group and Chair of our People and Remuneration Committee. Caroline’s thoughtful leadership, generosity of spirit and deep commitment to our staff and young people have shaped our organisation in lasting ways. We are incredibly grateful for all she has given, and we wish her every success in the future.
As we say goodbye, we are also delighted to welcome two new Trustees to our Board.
Paul Roche joins us as our new Chair of the People and Remuneration Committee, bringing substantial experience in workforce strategy, system leadership and organisational development across both public and private sectors.
Catherine Parkinson joins the Board as a Trustee and member of the People and Remuneration Committee, offering extensive expertise in HR, early careers development, mentoring, Diversity Equity and Inclusion and values‑led leadership.
Both Paul and Cath were formally appointed at our Board meeting on 26 February, strengthening an already excellent Board committed to good governance and our future strategic direction. Their knowledge, energy and commitment to children and young people will be invaluable as we continue to grow, adapt and stand alongside our communities.
