Rising living costs, increasing homelessness, growing mental health needs and the risks of exploitation continue to affect children and young people across Sussex and Surrey. Our new 2025/26 Annual Report and Impact page highlight how YMCA DownsLink Group worked alongside 4,685 children and young people through safe homes, mental health support, trusted advice and youth voice.

Every child and young person has the right to be safe, heard and shape their own future.

In 2025/26:

  • 4,685 children and young people were supported
  • 727 young people were provided with a safe home
  • 3,214 children and young people received mental health support
  • 744 children, young people and families received specialist advice and support

The new Impact page brings together key achievements, young people’s stories, service developments and examples of the partnerships that help create lasting change across Sussex and Surrey.

Alongside our Impact page, we have also published our Annual Report 2025/26, providing a fuller picture of our work and the challenges facing children and young people.
