Support Worker (OLAC)

£21,975 per annum

We are recruiting a Support Worker to work in our residential accommodation projects for young people aged 16 to 21, including OLAC (Older Looked After Children) and UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children).

You will support with the effective day to day operations of the projects, including assisting young people to develop personally and socially in order that they may grow in confidence and towards independence.

You will need experience of working within a supported housing or residential housing project and of working with vulnerable clients with complex needs. You must be able to de-escalate volatile situations and to manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

You should have the ability to engage, motivate, inspire and empower young people; and will be required to ensure the safe running of the project and safeguarding of residents.

The position involves working on a 7 day rolling rota, including some weekends, evenings and early mornings.
