Support Worker

£19,500 per annum

We are recruiting two Support Workers to work alongside our wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our community accommodation project for vulnerable young people aged 16-24 years.

The role includes delivering one to one sessions and groups work sessions to assist residents to develop personally and socially in order that they grow in confidence and move towards independence.

You will carry a case load of young people and work to engage them in effective support planning, working towards tailored goals so they can work towards positive outcomes.

You must have experience working with young people, particularly those considered vulnerable or with multiple and complex needs, and be able to de-escalate volatile situations and to manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

You should have the ability to engage, motivate, inspire and empower young people; particularly working within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) or Trauma Informed approach.

The role involves working on a 4 week rolling rota, which includes evenings and 2 weekends a month. Shift times are 7.30am – 3.30pm, 12pm – 8pm and 2pm – 10pm.
