Reception, Administration & IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance)Volunteer
Worthing Find It Out Plus (FIO+)

We are looking for volunteers who would like experience in a customer service/administrative setting in a busy, youth advice service offering information, advice and guidance to young people aged 11-25 delivered in partnership by YMCA DownsLink Group and West Sussex County Council.

This role will involve working within the team to meet and greet clients in the Find It Out Plus (FIO+) service in Worthing, working alongside the team made up of YMCA DLG and WSCC staff.

You will manage initial queries, support the management of clients in the drop-in space, keep monitoring systems up to date and undertake admin tasks to support effective delivery of the service. The role will also offer the opportunity to develop skills in offering information, advice and guidance on a wide range of areas with appropriate training in each area of remit.

Volunteers will be offered a thorough induction, as well as training and support throughout their time with the FIO+ service. This is a developing service and shifts are currently limited to Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 1.30-5pm, however as the service develops these hours will be expanded.

We ask our volunteers to offer 1 shift a week (minimum of 3.5 hours) with a commitment of six months to a year.
