The Bridge Kitchen is the new YMCA Guidford Café and offers both on site catering to residents of The Bridge, a 112 bedroom building housing young people, and a breakfast and lunch menu to the public on Guildford high street.

The Bridge offers accommodation to local students and young people and is partnered with the Guildford Foyer, a purpose-built building which offers a home for vulnerable 16 – 25 year olds.

The Commis Chef will work as part of a team to prepare, cook and present nutritional and delicious meals and snacks to suit residents of The Bridge and the wider community in Guildford.

The Commis Chef will maintain the high standards of food hygiene in the Café, take into consideration special dietary requests and ensure information about common allergens is displayed and communicated clearly to customers.

We are looking for someone with a positive and flexible attitude who is able to contribute to the performance of The Bridge Kitchen. They will need to be a good team player with excellent time management skills and able to multitask whilst meeting deadlines.

You will need to have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a commercial kitchen to be considered for the role.

Shifts are Sunday – Thursday, 8am – 2pm.
