Mental Health Champions Programme
Our Mental Health Champions programme, delivered in partnership with Public Health Schools at Brighton and Hove City Council, has been running for 3 years, with many schools and colleges taking part across Brighton and Hove.
As part of this project, we plan and deliver fun and engaging peer-led workshops, supporting groups of student Champions to identify issues that most affect the mental health of students in their school/college and create student-led actions to address these issues, tackle stigma and promote positive mental health and wellbeing.
Over the years, Champions have delivered many successful actions to tackle bullying and discrimination, improve sleep hygiene, provide safe spaces within school for young people to go when feeling anxious or overwhelmed, eliminate gender labels on school uniforms, support students throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and much more!
